8 DAYS - RIDING SIGHTSEEING HIKING
Easter holidays in Iceland, riding Iceland horses on their natural territorial. Nature at its best at the legendary peninsula Snæfellsnes with little hikes in that beautiful part of Iceland. Relax, take a big breath fresh Icelandic air and feel at home in the warm and friendly atmosphere of our farm. Non-riding guests – welcome!
Program “Horses and hot pools”
Day 1, Th. Arrival
Welcome at the airport or in Reykjavík and Transfer to our farm Brekkulækur On the way stop for a little hike. Dinner and night-lodging (5x).
Day 2, Fr. Riding - Swimming pool
Befriending the horses and riding tour. Depending on the weather, we ride across rivers, through picturesque valleys and over hills with wonderful views. In the evening we relax in a natural hot pool nearby.
Day 3, Sa. Seals – Riding – Sheeps
3-hour-sightseeing drive to a seal-colony and a bird-cliff. In the afternoon we cross the river on horse-back, to reach the neighbouring stud farm Bjargshóll and have a look in the sheep stable.
Day 4, Su. Riding – Religious contry service
Today we attend a religious country service and later on riding tour. At the evening we have the possibility to see a Icelandic movie.
Day 5, Mo. Riding - Sheep’s
In the morning we spend a glorious time in a hot pool and afterwards we have a nice big brunch. In the evening we will have a look to Icelandic books and literature.
Day 6, Tu. Snæfellsnes
We leave Brekkulækur and drive to the magic peninsula Snæfellsnes. There we visit the small harbour and fishing village Stykkishólmur. Night lodging in the guest house of Arnarstapi with its picturesque harbour and unique lava coast.
Day 7, We. Snæfellsnes
Hiking tour along the bizarre lava coast with impressive nature experience. In the evening transfer to Reykjavík. We spend the night in a guest house.
Day 8, Th. Departure
Transfer to the airport
